This April, Ojai celebrates Pixie Tangerine Month with a host of happenings dedicated to the sweet and seedless tangerine that is unique to the Ojai Valley. Native to the Central California Coast, Pixie Tangerines have existed since the 1920’s and were originally bred out of a tangerine called the Kincy. The out of town location is just off I-25, the main highway to Santa Fe. Owners Murphy and Annamaria O’Brien bring years of Santa Fe restaurant experience to their new enterprise. The outdoor kids play area is especially popular.

Santa Fe Spirits has released its first premium sipping vodka, Expedition American West Vodka. The new spirit is made from 100% maize and Sangre de Cristo Mountain water and is hand bottled. Santa Fe Spirits makes limited release specialty products that are available through distributors and at their distillery and tasting

The Santa Fe School of Cooking has begun the transition to its new and much larger location at 125 N. Guadalupe Street. The popular Market, featuring all kinds of ingredients and cooking tools is already open. Classes are being taught at a variety of venues until the renovation is complete this

The La Tierra Trail system just got much easier to use for bikers, hikers, and horseback riders. The 25 miles of trails have new signs, a detailed map, and more parking.
