Train with an Olympian in Saint Lucia

Former Olympians Danny Crates, Sharron Davies, and Ayo Falola are hosting this year’s retreat and will be on-property to lead activities including a daily boot camp class, hosted dinners, group breakfast with a resident nutritionist, and complimentary BMI and blood pressure readings. Sharron Davies is an immensely successful British swimmer and broadcaster who occupies a position as one of the UK’s best known and most popular women since she burst onto the scene as a 13-year-old Olympian in 1976. Sharron has represented as a British Olympic Ambassador in London as well as pool side getting Michael Phelp’s first interview after becoming the world’s most decorated Olympian.

Ayo Falola  (3/31 – 4/4)

Ayo has been coaching for over fifteen years upon retiring himself from his sprinting career.  His pedigree is evident by the illustrious list of athletes he has coached during that time, most notably Danny Crates; Paralympic Gold Medalist in 2008, Paralympic Bronze medalist in 2004, medalist at World Championships, European Championships and World Record Holder, Donna Fraser;  4 time Olympian and 4th place at 2000 Olympics, medalist at World, European and Commonwealth levels, Vernicha James;  World and European Junior Champion, Marilyn Okoro; Olympian, medalist at World and European Championships, Jo Fenn; Olympian and World Indoor Medalist.

The diverse program will be led by renowned experts in the wellness field. Here’s the lineup:

·         John Schumacher, founder and director of Unity Woods Yoga Center and one of only 13 certified advanced lyengar yoga teachers in the U.S., will lead daily yoga sessions on the basic postures and breathing exercises that energize and center the body.

·         Dr. Stephen Brewer, medical director at Canyon Ranch Health Resorts in Tucson, AZ, will speak about the “Optimal Wellness” -achieving health through exercise, nutrition, behavioral modification and mental awareness.

·         Dani Devaux, creator of Blood, Sweat and Tears fitness program, will lead multiple sunset beach boot camps based on her high intensity interval training program, designed for all fitness levels.
