This past week I visited my favorite place in the whole world: Walt Disney World. I had not been in almost 3 years, and when I found out I was going, I was so excited. My mom and I got to experience Disney in a whole new way, and we learned so much about the resort (in only two days). We were lucky enough to have a VIP tour guide to show us around the parks, and we rode over 30 rides in 3 days! My mom asked me if I would write a guest blog post about my experience, and I thought it would be a great idea to share the fun, new things to do in Walt Disney World!
New Fantasyland-Fantasyland has almost doubled in size and was the largest expansion to Magic Kingdom since it opened. There are two new castles: Beauty and the Beast’s castle and Eric’s castle. It also features two new rides. One is from The Little Mermaid, and it takes riders under the sea and into Ariel’s journey to fall in love. The other new ride is called the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and this fast pace ride goes straight through the Seven Dwarfs’ mine. Inside Beauty and the Beast’s castle is a new restaurant called Be Our Guest. The beautiful atmosphere of Be Our Guest paired with the amazing food creates a perfectly magical experience. The new Fantasyland greatly adds to the magic of Walt Disney World. Here are 4 things not to miss:
New Technology-With Disney’s newly introduced My Disney Experience app, along with new Magic Bands and Fast pass +, it is easier than ever to be apart of the magic. Disney’s Magic Bands come with a vacation to a Walt Disney World resort hotel. These bracelets act as a room key, credit card, ticket into the park, and fast pass. The My Disney Experience mobile app allows guests to add fast passes to Magic Bands at the touch of a finger. The app also has ride wait times, park maps, and any other needed information about Walt Disney World.
New Festival of Fantasy Parade-The new Festival of Fantasy parade is more magical than ever. Anna and Elsa, and many other newly added characters, ride by in beautifully elaborate floats. There is much more color and fun, and it is sure to put a smile on any child’s face.
Frozen Summer at Hollywood Studios-From now until September 1st, Hollywood Studios is all dressed up for Frozen Summer. Frozen has been an extremely popular movie with people of all ages, and Frozen Summer at Hollywood Studios has done a great job bringing the movie to life. Not only is there sing-a-longs all day, there is also a whole winter wonderland set up in the park. There is an ice skating rink and a “build-a-snowman” station with real snow. There are also Frozen-themed cupcakes and many other delicious treats to add to the magic. To end a great day at Hollywood Studios, there is a Frozen Firework Show. Frozen Summer at Hollywood Studios will make any person— child or adult —feel the magic of Disney.
