Frenchman's Reef Santa

From sledding in snowy Montana to stand-up paddle boarding in sunny St. Thomas, Santa is the ultimate world traveler. Check out where to find Santa in the  next 2 weeks:

On his way through the Caribbean, Santa indulges in a little adventure during his holiday travels! Here he does the impossible and masters the art of stand-up paddle boarding, without falling in, at Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort in St. Thomas. Families and friends can join in on the fun with the resort’s “Family Island Adventure” package, offering an active travel escape this holiday season.

Santa is making an appearance at Ocean House this season as part of the resort’s annual 12 Days of Christmas programming. On December 20, kids are encouraged to partake in the Children’s Christmas Party with Santa and celebrate with an afternoon of holiday-inspired arts and crafts, stories and lunch. Have your photo taken with Santa too!

Celebrate the holidays on the white-sand beaches of Atlantis, Paradise Island. The family-vacation mecca known for the largest open-air marine habitat in the world and 141-square foot Aquaventure Water Park is the perfect destination for winter fun in the sun. Santa Claus can be found riding his dolphin led sleigh throughout the resort – from the Mayan Temple and Dolphin Cay to the largest Bahamian casino and CRUSH Teen Club. Guests are welcomed to join in a traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony of a spectacular 40-foot tree and kids (ages 7-12) are invited to bake cookies with Mrs. Claus in the Atlantis Kids Adventures club.

Families can choose from a variety of accommodations from the Beach Towers, Coral Towers, and Royal Towers to The Cove and The Reef. With quick, direct flights from over thirty cities, Atlantis offers a cornucopia of activities for the whole family.

Spring is in the air so I wanted to share 3 spring travel deals worth checking out. I just returned from Phoenix where the weather was 89 and sunny! It was too nice for words. Here are a few fabulous hot deals you don’t want to miss. Happy weekend!

Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain (Scottsdale, Ariz.): Beginning May 16 starting rates drop 46% from $519 to $279 per night (and seasonal specials often dip lower).  The average temperature in May is 95 degrees – a dry desert heat that can still be enjoyed outdoors, especially while lounging by the resort’s stunning infinity-edge pool.  A cool respite at the Sanctuary Spa might include the Sanctuary Luxury Facial, which uses precious crystals that have been re-energized in the Arizona sun to promote deep relaxation and revitalization.

Grand Lucayan, Bahamas (Grand Bahama Island): As of May 1 starting rates drop almost 20% from $259 to $209 per night.  Weather on the island – the closest Caribbean destination to the U.S. – is typically a glorious 75 degrees in May.  The 7.5-acre white-sand beach is perfect for families and couples alike, and travelers have access to a host of activities including snorkeling, kayaking and swimming with dolphins.

Doral Golf Resort & Spa (Miami, Fla.): Starting April 1 a 16% savings is available at this TRUMP HOTEL COLLECTION property, as starting rates drop from $226 to $189.  With seasonal temperatures averaging in the low 80s, it’s a great time to hit the greens of the resort’s five championship golf courses, including the legend
