Via Alison:

“When I was approached by my Publisher, Robert Rose, they told me they wanted to do a cookbook that was new, different and “wasn’t out there yet”. After months of research, emails, lists and phone calls, the idea came when I was on a conference call from my son, Zachary (9) who blurted out, What about sandwiches?” After a quick research, they said, “That is it”.  After 17 years of Recipe Development experience for national food magazines, food companies and PR firms, I landed my first published book “400 Best Sandwich Recipes”. It was one more extension of my multi media Food Consulting company, Ingredients, Inc., established in 2001. My second book will be released October 2012.

Previously, I was an Editor and Recipe Developer on the Food Staff at Southern Living Magazine and Oxmoor House Books after completing degrees in Marketing, Advertising and Nutrition. I attended culinary classes at The Culinary Institute in New York and Greystone, California and The Institute of Culinary Education in New York. I left Southern Living (my dream job) only when my nannie quit, and I decided to be try my hand as an entrepreneur. I’m a very busy mom of three children, an avid runner, tennis player and huge fan of yoga. My blog https://ingredientsinc.net has given me the opportunity to combine all of my passions: food, fitness, nutrition, travel and even fashion.”
