Happy New Years! We are hanging out watching football today. Did you see the Texas A & M/Duke game? Wow! For New Years Day, I made this Nuts and Bolts recipe. This super easy snack mix is ideal for football games, Super Bowl sunday and March Madness. My kids can’t stop eating it, so I assume that is a good sign. Happy New Year and here’s to a healthy, happy New Year! May all your wishes and dreams come true!
My kid’s great grandmother, Dedee, made the best potato salad we have ever had. This recipe for Lightened Up Potato Salad is the closest version to hers which is perfect for summertime, picnics, and Memorial Day weekend. This recipe is slightly lighter than hers, since it uses nonfat greek yogurt, reduced-fat mayonnaise, fresh dill, celery and red onion. I know you will love it as much as we do!
This past weekend I had the craving to make homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies. I asked my friend, Nancy, “What is your latest favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe? She told me that she takes any favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, and she adds cinnamon to it. My daughter, Leigh and I headed to the kitchen and made five dozen of these Chocolate Chip Cookies. We were invited to a football party that day so we brought a few dozen. Our friends later texted me that zero were left. I used the famous Nestle Tollhouse recipe and added one teaspoon cinnamon and that was it. How easy is that? They were moist, soft and even better the next day. Try this Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe with a a little twist!
Happy first college football weekend! I have had so many friends asking for tailgating recipes this week, so I decided to compile a list of recipes starting with my Chipotle Vegetarian Chili. Since I have been eating mostly gluten-free lately, I thought I would share 8 healthy Gluten-Free tailgating recipes for this football season. With Alabama playing in Dallas tonight and Auburn playing in Atlanta, it’s a big night for our state. I smiled last night when my oldest son, Alec, told me to be sure to wake him up in time for the start of ESPN College Game Day this morning. Enjoy these tailgating recipes, and please leave me a comment telling me what are some of your favorites!
