Passover S’mores

Passover is coming up this week, and I know so many are always looking for new, fun recipe ideas, especially to please the kids. I made these Passover S’mores a few years ago, and they have become a Passover staple for my three children. Who doesn’t love s’mores? Just use regular sizes matzo and break it into pieces, or use the new mini matzo that is so popular this year instead of graham crackers, and you’ll have some happy kids (and adults).

Easy as Can Be: Brownie S’Mores

Recently, Naturally Nora, a company specializing in all natural baking mixes, asked me to experiment with some of their mixes. Their cake mixes, brownie mixes and frostings have no artificial colors, artificial flavors, preservatives or hydrogenated oil. I was so excited to try their mixes. My kids went nuts over their brownie mix, and it worked great in this simple Brownie S’mores recipe. It was so fun to make these with the kids-a wonderful summertime afternoon project.

Passover Kid’s Favorite Dessert: Matzoh S’mores

Today, I am in Denver at the International Association of Culinary Professionals conference which is so busy (and fun). At this moment, there is thunder-snow outside. It is pretty cool, but makes me want something comforting, such as S’mores. We love making S’mores at my house. It’s truly my kids’ favorite. I saw this idea in Martha Stewart’s magazine, and when I brought home the ingredients, my three kids couldn’t open up the packages of marshmallows, chocolate and matzoh fast enough. It’s a simple recipe; only three ingredients and takes no time at all. And when Passover comes, you’ll have a sweet and simple idea that everyone will love.
