Superbowl Recipe: Grilled Roast Beef and Stilton

For Superbowl Sunday, how about a grilled cheese sandwich recipe? Grilled Roast Beef and Stilton is a fabulous, hearty sandwich that will go perfect on your Superbowl recipe and menu list. It’s also a great weeknight dinner or sunday lunch idea. Stilton is a semisoft, crumbly cheese that is similar to blue cheese. It is terrific paired with roast beef and peppery arugula. Use store bought basil pesto if you are short on time to make the fresh Basil Aioli. This is just one of the 150 recipes from latest cookbook 150 Grilled Sandwich Recipes. Easiest Cucumber Salad

Cucumber and Tomatoes always go together naturally for me, as this was something I always ate growing up in Alabama. Cucumbers are the star of this week’s Summer Fest, an amazing round-up of recipes and ideas held by Food Network. I am so excited to be a part of this year’s collection of great recipes from great bloggers. This recipe for Easiest Cucumber Salad is simple, fresh and light. Even my 3 kids will eat it, so I think that is a true test of greatness. Enjoy summer since it seems to be going by so fast! Croque Monsieur Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Yay to April and National Grilled Cheese Month! I thought I would feature one of my favorite grilled cheese recipes, Croque Monsieur, from my latest cookbook “400 Best Sandwiches: from Classics & Burgers to Wraps and Condiments”. This French-style ham and cheese sandwich typically has Gruyere or Emmenthal cheese. It originated in France as a fast food snack in cafes and bars. It’s so easy to prepare, and it’s the ideal comfort food. Be sure to check out my lightened up variation as well.

Back to School Sandwich: Lunch Box Sushi & Cookbook Giveaway

My three kids start back to school in a little over a week so I’ve been trying to get back into the groove. I try to be really creative when it comes to school lunch for two out of my three children who insist on taking their own lunch. This year, I have more than enough ideas since the release of my new cookbook, “400 Best Sandwiches: From Classics & Burgers to Wraps & Condiments”. One of our favorite recipes from the “Lunchbox” chapter is this recipe for Lunch Box Sushi. It’s really easy, healthy, fresh and kids love it. Feel free to substitute cooked chicken for the shrimp. Fourth of July Buttermilk Cupcakes

Happy Fourth of July. I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe holiday. My kids and I had so much fun making these Buttermilk Cupcakes last week. The cupcake recipe comes from Southern Living magazine from several years ago. It’s so easy and one of my favorites. Frost with homemade cream cheese icing or store-bought, and top with sprinkles or these adorable Fourth of July marshmallows by Jet Puffed.

My New Cookbook “400 Best Sandwich Recipes from Classics & Burgers to Wraps & Condiments”

When my cookbook Publisher, Robert Rose Books, said that my book will be here on “March 29th,” they meant it. It arrived exactly on that date, and I am so excited to announce the release of “400 Best Sandwich Recipes from Classics & Burgers to Wraps and Condiments”. This is the go-to book on sandwiches with something for everyone. It includes 400 recipes. Yes, I really said, “400”! You will enjoy sandwich recipes for every meal and occasion including appetizers, breakfast, lunch as well as burgers, wraps, international, regional U.S, grilled cheese, condiments and more. I call it the “bible” of sandwiches, and it’s been well received so far. When I spoke at a conference a few months ago, I realized that I have been developing recipes professionally for over 17 years (wow, now that shows my age), so I am so excited about my first internationally published cookbook. Thanks to my wonderful subscribers, followers, family and friends for your awesome and incredible support. I hope you will check out my book, and let me know what you think.
