Healthy Breakfast Popsicles

healthy breakfast popsicles

We make smoothies and smoothie bowls almost every single day. My daughter, Leigh, turned one of our favorite simple and healthy smoothie recipes into popsicles to create these Healthy Breakfast Popsicles. All you need is five simple ingredients including the chocolate flavored Dynamic Fruit & Greens which is a blend of organic vegetable such as kale, kelp, Chlorella and turmeric that adds antioxidants as well as an amazing chocolate flavor (if you’re a Lifetime Fitness member, they sell it at the facility).

When frozen, remove from the popsicle molds and sprinkle with additional oats and chia seeds. Trust me, you’ll love these!

Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

My daughter Leigh has been on this huge health kick lately so we decided to make some better-for-you popsicles and came up with these Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles. We used vanilla Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries and honey to create an amazing tasting frozen fruit popsicle that has 16 grams of protein. These make a great after workout snack or dessert after dinner. And with only 3 ingredients? What more can you ask for? Happy summer!

Wine Sangria Popsicles

Wine Sangria Popsicles

I received so many bottles of wine for our couple’s shower and wedding that I decided to get creative in the kitchen. Since warmer weather is arriving, I created a sangria popsicle (I love sangrias) to create these Wine Sangria Popsicles. I used VOGA Italia white wine and organic peach juice. If you can’t find peach juice or fresh peaches yet to juice your own, feel free to substitute orange or white grape peach juice. These are so easy and perfect to serve at a spring or summer cocktail party, couple’s shower, Mother’s Day brunch or even a spring or summertime cookout or just hanging by the pool.

Two Ingredient Raspberry Popsicles

When I first saw “Sparkling Ice”at a friends house, my 3 kids begged me to buy it. After taking a look at the ingredients, I thought, “Why not give it a shot.” They loved all of the flavors, but it is also great to use in cocktails and even popsicle recipes. The Black Raspberry flavor was one of their favorites, and I love how easy it is to make Two Ingredient Raspberry Popsicles. Sparkling ICE is also a great alternative sport drink beverage for people of all ages. Sparkling ICE combines fresh spring water, natural fruit juices and vitamins and antioxidants to create tasty, lightly-carbonated refreshments in assorted thirst-quenching flavors. It’s a great alternative to soft drinks. It is caffeine-free, Kosher U and free of sodium and carbohydrates. For more information, see their Facebook page or website.

Sparkling ICE retails for $1.29, or $12-$15 for a 12 pack. Flavors include Coconut Pineapple, Lemon Lime, Kiwi Strawberry, Lemonade, Orange Mango, Pomegranate Berry, Pink Grapefruit, and Black Raspberry. Sparking ICE is available at retailers nationwide, including Kroger, Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Publix, Winn Dixie, Amazon and more.
