Parmesan Butter Popcorn

Parmesan Popcorn

When I first tried Brummel & Brown, I was hooked. It really caught my eye because it is made with nonfat yogurt, which gives it a smooth, creamy taste. It’s super versatile to use in cooking when sautéing vegetables, chicken, meats, poultry and seafood and even preparing eggs and pancakes. It also makes the best butter sauce for vegetables and to stir in quinoa, rice or grains. I also love the flavor, and the fact that it is also healthy with zero grams of trans fat and no partially-hydrogenated oils. It also contains 50% less fat and calories than butter and there is also NO cholesterol per serving. YES!!

This is a sponsored post for Brummel & Brown but all opinions are my own.

Brummel & Brown 1

I decided to make this Parmesan Butter Popcorn for the kids so I started with Brummel & Brown, of course. I popped the popcorn in the Brummel & Brown and made a simple Parmesan Butter topping with Parmesan, sea salt and cracked pepper. This is much healthier than other popcorn alternatives and just as easy! My kids devoured it!

Homemade Caramel Corn

Homemade Caramel Corn anyone? This child (and adult) favorite is a great snack, dessert or even fun tailgating recipe. It also makes a great fall or Christmas food gift. I love this homemade Caramel Corn because it’s simple to prepare and uses a variety of almonds, pecans and walnuts, adding more protein. Make this even healthier by using my Saucepan Popcorn recipe to pop your popcorn. It’s so easy and uses no microwave. Be careful, this can get very addicting 🙂

Easy Homemade Food Gift: Holiday Cracker Jacks

I love working on homemade holiday food gift recipes this time of year, and my 3 kids love helping me create them too. This creative idea for Homemade Cracker Jacks is a simple recipe that adults and the kids can enjoy. Just pick up a small one dollar item to put in the box as a toy. I will be making this recipe this Tuesday on NBC “Daytime Alabama” as well as two others, and this recipe will also be featured in the December issue of Birmingham Magazine.

Halloween Caramel Popcorn

Since my kids love popcorn, I decided to make a homemade version of Carmel Popcorn just in time for Halloween. The combination of butter, honey and light brown sugar coat the popcorn to perfection. I added some of my favorite nuts and M & M’s, and wow were my kids so excited. This makes a great Halloween snack and gift just in time for a sweet, fun holiday.

It turned out even better than I thought. “Fabulous”, said some of my friends. Everyone will love receiving this food gift, but make plenty because once you start eating it, you won’t be able to stop.
