Peppermint White Russian Recipe

Peppermint White Russian

I have a great cocktail idea for your upcoming holiday parties. This Peppermint White Russian recipe is only three ingredients, and takes 5 minutes to prepare. Feel free to make a large batch ahead of time, and when your guests arrive, pour over ice. Adding Smirnoff Peppermint Vodka to this classic cocktail give it a fresh holiday twist.

Smirnoff Peppermint Vodka  delivers the mouth-watering taste of sweet candy canes, balanced by the soothing cool of peppermint. Also unique is that the bottle is very cool looking. This would make a great gift packaged with some hot chocolate mix. This limited time specialty can make for a great inclusion in an upcoming holiday gifts as this new bottle designs hitting the shelves this season. It looks great out on a bar during the holiday season.

Healthy Mini Pumpkin Flaxseed Bread Recipe

I love one bowl, no mixer, quick bread recipes such as this one for Mini Flaxseed Pumpkin Bread Loaves. Not only is this so easy to prepare, but my kids can almost basically make them on their own with very little clean-up. I added a touch of nonfat Greek yogurt and ground Flaxseed to make these even healthier, moister and with added crunch, and my 3 children had no idea those ingredients were even in there. These Mini Pumpkin loaves make a great breakfast, afternoon snack or dessert that you can feel good about eating and serving to your kids. These also make wonderful Christmas food gifts as well :).

The Best Passover Brownies

Since I have been working with so many brownie recipe variations for one of my food clients, I realized I needed to create the Best Passover Brownie. This ingredient combination worked like a charm. When I took them out of the oven, I took a picture and put them on Facebook (I was so excited how they turned out). I had a lot of people wanting the recipe ASAP so here it is. It is so easy and fabulous. My friend said, “These are the best Passover Brownies I have ever tasted.” I hope that you like them too, and that they sweeten up your holiday.

Holiday Food Gift Idea: Simple Breakfast Granola

As the holidays are approaching, I have been trying to make recipes that my kids will love and hopefully ones that will be potential great homemade food gifts. I saw a variation of this recipe in a recent Paula Dean Magazine, and tweaked it using some of my favorite ingredients such as walnuts and flaxseed. It came out great, and it lasted at least up to 3 weeks in a tightly covered container. My kids ate it for breakfast and a snack, and I piled it on top of Greek Yogurt for a filling breakfast. For the dried fruit, I used Sun-Maid Fruit Bits. Start your holiday food gifts early, and try this Granola recipe.

Chipotle Spiced Peanuts

Since it’s another big football weekend ahead, and I am entertaining for the Alabama/LSU game, I thought I would try a new peanut snack recipe. I’m hooked on chipotle seasoning, and this simple Chipotle Spiced Peanuts is a winning recipe. It also makes a great holiday food gift idea, and it’s under 30 minutes to prepare. Be sure to start with dry, unsalted peanuts. Have a great weekend everyone! Alison
