3 Family Getaways for March from London to Beverly Hills

Family vacations are a special time to grow closer and create everlasting memories together. I love traveling with my 3 children, especially in March for Spring break. Here are 3 amazing family getaways where you will find family bonding at its best.

Little Kings Celebrate Carnival at Le Meurice
The year 2014 honors the 50th anniversary of the formation of Sino-French diplomatic relations, marking half a century of friendship between the people of France and China. To celebrate the joyous occasion, Le Meurice invites families to take part in its animated and vibrant Children’s Carnival celebrations on Sunday, March 9, 2014. The event is sure to radiate joy to children of all ages; filled with noisy farandoles, tricolor costumes and Chinese folklore. Join the magic and art movement with balloons, make-up and funny tattoo workshops to get into the spirit of the day! The young prodigies from the prestigious Stanlowa School of Dance will perform an enchanting and mesmerizing show, and parents can watch their children parade at this dazzling affair. And what better way to end the fun than with an abundant buffet of sweets, deliciously crafted by Pastry Chef Cédric Grolet.

The Little Legends “Best Guest” Package at The Beverly Hills Hotel

Young guests will experience their “15 minutes of fame” and feel like real child star for a day with this whimsical package. It includes a special red carpet photo opportunity taken in front of the hotel’s “step and repeat” wall, personalized chocolate star amenity, miniature gold awards statuette, Little Legends t-shirt, choice of an ice cream sundae or milkshake in the Fountain Coffee Shop, and a VVIP Beverly Hills Hotel card that can be redeemed for complimentary sodas and juices throughout the hotel. Recommended for children 5 – 10 years, but this is available to “children” of all ages.

A London Family Getaway at 45 Park Lane
45 Park Lane provides the perfect setting for families to enjoy the many activities that London has to offer. Located directly opposite Hyde Park, the hotel is close to the city’s most popular attractions such as Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London. 45 Park Lane also offers a private media room with ten large and comfortable armchairs, perfect for screening the latest blockbuster or a collection of personal memories for a family reunion. The media room features state-of-the-art Bang & Olufsen equipment including a 103 inch BeoVision 3D television, 3-D glasses and surround sound solution. Sounds too amazing for words!

Largest Macaron Christmas Tree in the World

Who wants to go to Paris? Now is a better time than ever!  InterContinental Paris – Le Grand has partnered with one of the world’s most renowned names in pastries to create the largest macaron Christmas tree in the world for a holiday season experience like never before. In collaboration with Ladurée, InterContinental Paris – Le Grand is hosting a record-breaking creation made up of 8,000 brightly-colored macarons piled nearly 14 feet high. 27 other Ladurée macaron trees of various sizes will echo the joyous strains throughout the hotel through January 6, 2014. OMG, right?

The spectacular creation takes its cue from the Paris Carnival which, after crossing the capital, concludes at the Place de l’Opéra. The tree is particularly reminiscent of carnival time with its bold Harlequin’s colors of green, yellow, black, blue and red with a touch of silver, along with a stately Elizabethan ruffle collar. The smaller, monochrome trees deck the hotel in tones of rose, lavender, orange and melon. Ladurée’s team of 50 spent two weeks on the creation plus one night of set-up at the hotel. This Christmas tree display marks 150 years of shared history between the hotel and Ladurée as both began in 1862. AMAZING!

With floodlit views of the Opera House, this superbly renovated InterContinental Paris – Le Grand is at the heart of Parisian society. The hotel defines historical grandeur, with elegantly appointed boutique-style suites overlooking the city’s stunning landmarks. Located in the ninth arrondissement, close to the Louvre Museum, shopping, theatre and banking districts, the hotel is ideally situated to enjoy all that the City of Light has to offer. Paris is on my bucket list, and I have never been to France. Is this completely fabulous??
