Sweet Tea Pumpkin Bread

I am so ready for fall! I already made my first pumpkin bread last week, and I tried something new and used Milo’s Sweet Tea (our favorite) instead of oil. This Sweet Tea Pumpkin Bread came out fabulous! What I love about this recipe, besides the wonderful taste and moist texture, is that there no need fro a mixer. You add all of the ingredients in one bowl and stir. Get the kids involved and let them help you measure and stir the batter. This recipe also makes a perfect fall or holiday gift! Sweet Tea Pumpkin Loaf

20 minutes

Yield:

8 to 10 servings

Ingredients:

12/3 cups all-purpose flour
11/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup Milo’s Sweet Tea
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts (optional)

Preparation:

1. In a large small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and nutmeg. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs, pumpkin, and sweet tea. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in nuts, if desired.

2. Pour into a greased 9-inch x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 or 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Yield: 1 loaf.
