Fitness Friday: Lululemon Giveaway

Happy Fitness Friday. Since it’s my birthday week, I thought I would offer a fun giveaway for an awesome tank from lululemon athletica. We are so lucky to have a lululemon athletica store in Birmingham so check out their Facebook page. If you live in town, did you know that they offer yoga at their store every sunday night from 6 to 7 p.m? The class is taught by a different local yoga instructor each week. Fun, huh?   1. Yoga has completely changed my life! I am currently in a yoga teacher program to get my 200 RYT. I love to do hot yoga and power yoga the most!

  2. I haven’t tried yoga yet, but am anxious to try it. I think these clothes would be good for other purposes, too, like hiking. A Lulelemon store just opened near me; I want to check it out this weekend.

  3. OH! and i love yoga, it is incredible refreshing! My husband and I used it to work out together while we were engaged to get into sex shape haha 🙂

  4. Because of yoga with the addition of pilates, I have not only learned to relieve my stress, but I have also grown (literally) because of it. My posture has improved so much that at the age of 26, my doctor told me I had grown nearly two inches! It’s also taught me to maintain balance- in my opinion, vital for living a happy life.

  7. I haven’t done yoga in years. I would really like to get back into it. Trying to find a class at the gym that fits into my schedule! My daughter (5) went to kids yoga for the first time this week and loved it! 🙂

  8. I have never tried yoga but would love to. I have always been interested in it. I do, however do CrossFit, so this Lululemon tank would be great!

  9. I practice Baptiste power vinyasa yoga daily & attended his level one teacher training. Yoga has been very powerful in my life, it has taught me self love and acceptance.

  10. I have been doing hot yoga (sumits) for 2 months now. I was sooooo oposed to yoga for so long. I am a runner and it is such a great compliment to my running. I LOVE lululemon!!!!! And being a mother of two I love the me time both yoga and running provide me.

  11. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and CFS five years ago. I was a runner (and still try, but hot yoga helped my sore muscles, tendons and joints. Not to mention it helped me build strength, flexibilty and improve my mental health!

  12. I have not participated in yoga in a few years, but I am pregnant now and would love to give it a try here in birmingham. I cannot fit into many of my old workout tanks, so I would love to have a stylish new one that would fit!

  13. I do yoga as a part of my weekly workout routine every Sunday. I spend most days of the week doing intense cardio, spin classes, Zumba, and weights. Taking one day a week for mind and body is relaxing and rejuvinating! It gives me a boost for a spiritually healthy week!

    I did prenatal yoga when pregnant (and huge and awkward) with my first son. Not only did it relax me but it physically made me feel better…looser, calmer. Fast forward to not long ago….I’ve been getting back in shape after having my second son, mostly with Zumba and running. My body is getting slim, but it is tighter than I’d like. So I slipped into a yoga class at the Y recently. It was hard, but hard in a good way. In a hey, I think I can do this way. I hope to continue!

  16. I think I’ve tried all the different types of yoga. I actually took my first class in China and then when I got back to the U.S., I tried Bikram yoga (what an experience). I think my favorite is just the Hatha yoga. It feels so good on my back!

  17. I started Bikram yoga in Jan and I love it. It challenges me in a way that no other exercise does and everytime I go I can see improvement in my technique.

  18. I got through one of the hardest times in my life because of yoga. Without it I would have been stuck in an unhealthy relationship, unhappy, and not myself. Yoga allowed me to focus on me and love me. I still practice at least 1-2 weeks. If I don’t have it I yearn for it:)

  19. I love power yoga! I am a mother of 4 girls and yoga is the absolute best prescription! I am trying out the Primal lifestyle for my food intake and power yoga for exercise. Power yoga uses your own bodies resistence doesn’t over work your muscles and leaves less room for injury. I love that you have been giving us paleo choices in your blog and the great Friday tips!! Would love a new yoga shirt!!!

  20. Between my kids’ activities, volunteering at my kids’ school and my community, family obligations and teaching kindergarten part time, yoga is my “me” time! A time to reconnect with myself and take care of myself. You know what they say on the airplane during the safety announcements: put on your own mask before assisting others! Yoga is my mask. 🙂

  21. Hi Alison. I work for a pharmacy/gift shop. We have been following you for awhile now. We also post your blog on our FB page occasionally. I’m 50 and have been doing yoga for 4 years now. I was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago. I do Vinyasana yoga, it helps to keep my muscles and mind in a centered state. Love your Lululemon Yoga Gear. Thanks for the motivation.

  22. I’m a follower on email and of your blog. I love Bikram Yoga because for the first time in years, I don’t feel any pain in my hips or knees. I truly feel like it has helped bring my body “back” to a place of peace and balance and strength (working on that daily). I tell people that it is oddly addictive and you will love the way you feel after it, and I can assure you, I do not have a “typical” yoga body! I have to work on it but it works on me and the experience is great in so many ways. Thanks Alison!

  25. I’m a vinyasa yoga gal. I love how yoga makes me feel strong and calm all at the same time. Plus yoga helps me stay flexible and injury free so I can run more!

  26. I’d love to try Forrest Yoga, though I am perfectly in love with Vinyasa, so I am not in any huge hurry to branch out! I have super tight hamstrings and am pretty high strung, and yoga helps with both!

  27. I’m not into yoga yet, and am unfamiliar with all the different types, but i’d like to get into it, as a former dancer trying to get back into shape (not for dance per se but life in general.) I lost a lot of flexibility and I think I have terrible form when I run which could be helped with yoga, or so I’ve heard. My hips especially could benefit. happy birthday! lmlynch2 at gmail dot com

  28. Would just like to try yoga period. I have been told I need to do yoga because i have a sore lower back and it needs strengthening.
