Low-Fat Appetizer: Smoked Salmon Roll-Ups

I’ve had a lot of friends and readers asking me, “What appetizers are you making for Thanksgiving or holiday parties this year?” These Smoked Salmon Rolls are one of my favorite recipes. They are only 4 ingredients, and they’re completely simple to prepare. My kids love smoked salmon, so it’s also true crowd pleaser. What I also love about them is that you can make them them up to 8 hours ahead of time, and they make a great brunch recipe as well.

Smoked Salmon Roll-Ups

Prep Times:

15 minutes

Yield:

8 to 10 servings

Ingredients:

8 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon
8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese
1/2 cup chopped fresh dill, divided
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Capers

Preparation:

1. Spread each slice of smoked salmon with cream cheese. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup dill and pepper, if desired. Carefully roll up each slice like a jelly roll. Cut rolls into 1/2-inch slices. Chill until ready to serve.

2. Place rolls on a platter with capers and garnish with fresh dill.
